August - September 1985

While traveling from Kagoshima City to Fukuoka Prefecture,
we came across this field of Pyracantha Bonsai.

  1. I noticed that the caretaker of the bonsai was clothed from head to toe. Was the weather hot or cold? Were there alot of bees? I am amazed how many bonsai there were... wow.

  2. The weather was very pleasant, I am unsure of the clothing. These plants would be taken to an auction house to be sold to retailers or landscapers. Later I will post pictures of the auction center.

  3. I've never seen so many pyracantha in one place before. Obviously Fire Blight is not a problem in Japan.
