Dramatic Autumn Colors in the backwoods of coastal Georgia Album |
This year deciduous trees are providing a spectacular fall color display of orange, yellow and red hues along highways. The deep scarlet of the red oaks, the reddish-orange of sumac, the multicolor of sweet gum and the yellows of the elm and maple are providing fall color display along highways. The lack of rain makes the colors more vivid so we have better color. As autumn progress, the sap flows more slowly, and chlorophyll, the chemical that gives the leaves their green color in the spring and summer, starts to disappear, revealing the orange, yellow and red hues. Plant the southern species that give the best color for autumns to come!

I love the color of your Japanese bonsai Maple tree. How old is this tree? Did you buy it like this or you grown it from seeds?
